ok....interesting....in boxed version on win 7, there was no improvement...but on steam win 10, it seems like it's working....strange...

Boxed edition and Steam edition both work in the same way.
They share the same profile in NVidia Inspector (because their executable name is "FSX.exe" in both cases), but they do not share the same shader files.
Did you delete the shaders (in that c:\users\...\appdata\local\...) of both versions or just one of them ?
Also, did you ensure both have the same settings in game (especially regarding the DX9/DX10 and the antialiasing checkbox) ?

yep...yer right ...i forgot to delete shaders.....it's looking good now...thanks.....oh...i only deleted shader files not shader10...which i'm sure was what you intended..yea.....

I'm not 100% but I think the Shader10 folder contains only shaders for when the DX10 preview option is enabled in the sim.
Since it's disabled in your sim(s), I think you can simply ignore that folder :)
