Excellent. :) They didn't have anything like that in my day. :'(
You mean paragliding, or obscene snow-obelisks?

:D

Paragliding. Phallic symbols are as old as history itself. Cerne Abbas Giant ;)

Para-gliding is on my list... looks like pure flying enjoyment! ;D

That or hang-gliding. If I was younger I would have a go myself. Probably break my neck now.

Don't forget: all those sort of things are easily done tandem now... pretty hard to get hurt unless your instructor screws up. And if you do twist your ankle or whatever... I'll  bet it's worth it. ;D

it looks like your wearing magnums or an immitation magnum boot! they had better be pro boots and not magnums.

They're Magnum's, and they're great!
25 miles in Nijmegen training and my feet felt fantastic!

i did my nijmegan training in some, their great until you walk 100miles in them, a new pair will disintergrate whereas a pair of good old assault boots (german ones especialy) just dnt take a dent :P

i never went to nijmegan :( couldnt put the time in for training and wing dropped me from the team. however a friend of mine did his in magnums which is how i know :P

good luck with nijmegan though :D

i would go for it again, but now that im 18 i would have to carry extra weight :S i dnt fancy that

sgt john :P

You might have a long wait James. This topic is almost 10 years old & EGNX last visited the forum in 2015.

Unfortunately....the Royal Canadian Air Cadets do not have paragliding. We do have a gliding program and powered flight program. An Air Cadet from 822 Tutor Squadron (Royal Canadian Air Cadets CYKF) has both gliding and power wings. He had the highest marks in Ontario for his written exams .Summer of 2015 =Gliding Wings, Summer of 2016 = Power Wings and the Spring of 2015 he piloted a Bell 222. This Sept. he is off to Canada's Royal Military College.
