Excellent!

Classic aeroplanes, like classic motor cars, and classic motorcycles!

Things of beauty.

Thanks for that. The Dragon Rapide was the 1st aircraft I flew in way back in '55 or thereabouts. I had saved up 10 Bob from my paper round for a 15 minute spin around Coventry. The pilot was so taken by my enthusiasm that he encouraged me to join the Air Cadets (ATC). Later, I did all I could to scrounge lifts to Elmdon (Birmingham) and back to Cov. Every one thought I was nuts, as the RAF had scrapped all the Dominies and was now using the Anson. I had a few rides in the Anson from Castle Bromwich and again from Locking after I joined up. A few years ago, I went back to Coventry and cadged a ride from Air Atlantique in their Twin Pioneer, which I thought was ex 21 Squadron, but I found the smoke drift tube wasn't there (usually sits in the 1st passenger seat behind the co-pilot)and a few other things that were there too. The Dragon Rapide wasn't around when I visited, but they have quite a few interesting oldies there.

Great video and pictures, over the years de Havilland and DHC produced some of the most beautiful aircraft ever created.

Cheers
