So sad to lose Glenn but, of course, that's Don Henley singing lead.

We're so fortunate to live at a time when such great material is preserved electronically for viewing/listening any time. The Eagles will last forever and are my number 1 workout playlist.

Glenn....

"...you can check out any time you like....

...but you can never leave!"

In Memory.

I have my own ideas of the meaning behind the song, all the way through it, and that is to do with the hell of Heroin drug-taking....

"...they stab it with their steely knives, (Syringes) but they just cant kill the beast...."

"...and you can check out any time you like....but you can never leave (addicted)....."
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

Saw the Eagles in concert back in '76 or '77 in think. One heck of a show! Losing someone from those days makes you get slapped with an old feeling real quick. I think Joe Walsh had just joined the band at that point. R.I.P. Now you can really "Take it Easy".
