Solid state drives, My next purchase.

Steve, I can tell you that it'll never be fast enough. :lol:


Also remember that no matter how large of a drive you have, you WILL fill it up eventually.

Now, or at sometime in the future, you may want the use a second hard drive.

There's a lot of data, and programs, that don't need the speed (and space) of an SSD


I'm using an SSD for my OS, a hard drive for most programs, and another SSD for Prepar3d.

Ain’t that the truth! I have two SSD’s, two SSHD’s and two external HDD’s and that’s only on my main comp. Each of my other comps has at least one external HDD. I keep one of the SSD’s just for flight sims and it is super smooth even with XPX at maxed out settings.

You just can’t have too much storage!

Thanks for the reply. I do plan on using an SSD as a second drive and only for FSX plus addons.

You'll love the speed. :D Until you get used to it, anyway.

But let me warn you - it's not going to be as much of a change as when I went from a cassette tape drive to a $500 single sided floppy disk. :lol: :lol: :lol:
