Postby SpaceHippy1975 » Thu Nov 05, 2015 4:25 pm

Hi All,

Does anyone know if the ORBX Friday Harbour (KFHR) scenery will be available for P3D? I've looked around for the answer but can't seem to find one!

Cheers,

Keith.

Looks like Friday Harbour is a 90 day exclusive on Steam and then will go on sale at ORBX.

I have bought the Steam version and have to say it's blooming good, excellent in fact.

Cheers for the info! My most frequent flight is the little hop between Orcas Island, Friday Harbour & the surrounding area so am looking forwards to getting this! <<q

Hopefully the rest of us will have it before Christmas!!

Kind Regards,

Just realised that there is a Meigs Field by ORBX (another one! )

I take it that the 90 days FSX:SE exclusive applies with this one too?!

Man-o-man, Steam & Orbx seem to be doing every thing right!

Orbx’s Meigs Field – Coming First to FSX: Steam Edition!

"....we are pleased to announce the second Orbx title to be released exclusively first for FSX: Steam Edition later this year...."

Actually, they seen to be doing it better than ever:
"This high-quality airport and scenery pack will feature an automatic installation process via Steam and will be completely self-contained without any dependencies on previous releases from Orbx."

So those without any other Orbx products can get the full benefits. Just like the Iceland demo is for FSX.

My first reaction when mayor Daley cut up that airport was that he was insane. My second thought was that someone rich and powerful wanted that strip shut down, must have been annoyed by the planes flying nearby.

Anyway, this one is sure to be a big seller.

Thought the same when I heard about the "closure" of Meigs, I always loved flying out over Chicago & seeing the airship up there too!

I did buy FSX:SE when it first came out, especially as it was on sale too but I was really put off by the fact that you had to re-purchase aircraft & scenery you already owned. I do have a program from Flightsim Estonia (http://www.flightsim.ee/) that helps to install FSX aircraft & scenery into P3D but I'm not too sure if it'll allow me to do the same into FSX:SE though! I'll have to play around with it & see! (When I have the time!)

Just got ORBX Friday Harbour.

Postby SpaceHippy1975 » Tue Dec 15, 2015 1:04 pm

Hi all,

Just picked up ORBX's Friday Harbour scenery, just flown a few laps around the area & so far my impressions of it are really good! Especially as I got it on sale at FSS.com for £10.40! I'd definitely recommend it!

Although......... I must say that they have spelt Harbor wrong on the airfield's tarmac, the Queen's English spells it Harbour, not Harbor! :icon-wink:

I'll try to post some screenies later on.

While you're in the area, come and visit me at the Concrete Municipal Airport, 3W5 - GBP£9.46.

Lovely little town.

Sorry OldAirmail,

Not had a chance to pop over your way recently, when I do I'll make sure I drop something interesting as I fly overhead! <<q
