The big Beans in the photo above....

We call them; "Butter Beans". I use them to add to Stews and Casseroles where they give extra "bite", and they also thicken up the liquid similar to; "Pearl Barley".

BEANS! I love all kind of beans.

BUT :shifty:

You do have to be careful.

Sometimes.

One night, about 1AM, in an all night supermarket, I was walking down some deserted food isles.

I made a turn toward the cash registers at the fare end, when...

Have you ever had one of those times when EVERY TIME you step, you.... ummm

pass a little wind?

Well. No one else was around, and I figured that it just might be best if I...umm.. accelerated the process some, so that when I reached the register, I'd be... :shifty:

a little less windy. :?

Halfway there I turned around just to make sure that there wasn't anyone farther back.

Ooppps.

An attractive lady.

Not ALL that far back.

Stifling a smile when she saw me looking back. :? :shifty:

Did you know that you can't just drop dead? EVEN if you really want to?

So I did the only thing that I could do under the circumstances.

I made a sharp right turn towards the back of the store.

Just a warning - BE VERY CAREFUL when eating LOTS of beans.

The Bean "problem" pales into insignificance compared to the Brussels Sprouts "problem"...

..when it comes to flatulence... :o ..!

I avoid Human company for some time, following my Dinner containing them... :shifty: ...!

Thanks for the info Fozzer. The beans described in wiki are flat and used in paella, but not as main dish as La Granja's. In any case the origin is America.
