We call them; "Butter Beans". I use them to add to Stews and Casseroles where they give extra "bite", and they also thicken up the liquid similar to; "Pearl Barley".

So I did the only thing that I could do under the circumstances.

I made a sharp right turn towards the back of the store.


Just a warning - BE VERY CAREFUL when eating LOTS of beans.

The Bean "problem" pales into insignificance compared to the Brussels Sprouts "problem"...

..when it comes to flatulence... ..!

I avoid Human company for some time, following my Dinner containing them... ...!

Thanks for the info Fozzer. The beans described in wiki are flat and used in paella, but not as main dish as La Granja's. In any case the origin is America.
