@H.... :D ...!

Although I purchase various fresh vegetables every day, (meaning that I have to go shopping every day!)....it is actually more economical to purchase bagged, frozen vegetables of various kinds, which can be stored, and cooked as required!
I doubt that there is any loss in the "goodness" of frozen vegetables over fresh vegetables.

A typical example are Peppers; (red, green, and orange), which I use to add colour to my daily vegetable display, it is infinitely more economical to purchase a large bag of ready sliced, mixed, frozen Peppers, rather than purchase them whole, as a red, green, and orange variety!
The same goes for Cauliflower and Broccoli...more economical bagged and frozen!

But having said that, I can spend hours? trawling through the fresh vegetable section at the market, or supermarket, observing the different shapes and colours.......of the vegetables, as well as the folks shopping there... ;) ...!

Every day is a surprise...what am I going to have for Dinner today!... ...!

Paul....pass me a carrot, shaken, not stirred!..... ...!

You must spend the best part of every day shopping & cooking. I'm surprised you have time to do anything else. :P

Me, I pay others to do my cooking. As I live alone I find it just as economical & much more convenient. I never enjoyed cooking & therefore I'm a hopeless cook. :D

I simply adore food shopping for magic ingredients, and cooking, Doug; safe in the knowledge that what I eat is very good for me, and keeping me young? and healthy!... :D ....!

Like you, I live alone, and my daily visit to my local supermarket, gives me the opportunity to meet, and chat with other folks....
...including the anticipated cuddle with the check-out ladies...!

I have two loves in my life.... :D ....

My Motor bikes.
My trusty Gas Cooker.

My Sons are also keen cooks, and cook daily for their families...(men always seem to make the most enthusiastic cooks!).

Paul...off to Sainsbury's in a minute, for a cabbage and a cuddle.... ...!

Goodly morning all... :D

Something else I forgot to mention and it came to mind when I read Matt's Post about he was going to try putting a little Brown Sugar or Real Canadian Maple Syrup in with his carrots and parsnips.

I also add the Brown Sugar or Real Canadian Maple Syrup to turnips and brussel sprouts.

The Old Girl does most of the shopping for groceries as I tend to meet folks and chat which adds a hour or so to her agenda...

However I do like shopping also.

I also think our sons are as good at cooking as our daughters... ;)
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
