Given a preference, I've
usually liked working for a small mom & pop company.
But lets face it, after 10 years of stocking the shelves at Mom & Pop Neighborhood Emporium where are you?
Still stocking the shelves at Mom & Pop Neighborhood Emporium, making only slightly more than when you started.
Moving up just doesn't exist there. No matter how nice they are.
And I've worked for some real mom & pop SOBs, I can tell you.To some of them you're just cheap labor that has to be watched every minute of the day.
And if you think that you deserve a pay raise after a year....
Well, there are plenty of other kids looking for work.
Somehow I doubt that it would be worth my time to argue the point, so I'll leave it with this;
