I use a Saitek AV8R flight stick.Has 4 paddle switches with 3 modes each, and 3 stick buttons wit 3 modes each, and the POV. It also came with the config program you speak of. I dont have the FS program with the radar,as I cant afford much in the line of payware,so FSUIPC permits me to use the associated gauges.Without a registered version of FSUIPC,some of those gauges wont operate. If my income were more upper end,so too would be my add ons,but I gotta get what I can afford. And,so far,I am pleased.Just trying to iron out some glitches. The RAAS I speak of impressed me when I saw it in use on YouTube, but to use it you need a certain version of FSUIPC,and I thought that when you bought one version,to update, all you need do was download the newer version.Doesnt appear to be the case. But RAAS is something I can live without.

With FSUIPC, you pay once only! To upgrade, all you do is to go to the site & download the latest. No need to pay again!! I agree with you, I've lived with FS9, FSX & now P3d, never needed RAAS, but have never been without FSUIPC.

No problem as I stated by no means was I knocking FSUIPC paid version if one prefers to use it than use it. So far I have not had a reason to use it.
And by no means do I consider my self financially sound. Most of my payware were gifts from others. It took me about 7 months to save up enough money to purchase the new system I now use. Like most people I live from paycheck to paycheck hopefully :D

No offense taken. The less side programs running, the better, and if you can work around add on programs and still get satisfactory results, then you've acheived what I have working at. :D
