It rained a bit and the sun went down so it's more like 76°.

Why'd ya have to show me that,,, just ruined my Illusion & Fantasy of nice warm balmy weather, while I'm sittin here on top of the Fire, constantly pitchin wood in the thing,,,

got the Blower on High speed,,, 82* in my house right now,, temp outside, 15* !!!

lotta work tho,,, bout every 3 hours time for more wood, again, when its this cold.

if it were in the 40's or 50's, 2 loads of wood in the Buck Stove would last all night into the morning,

but when its this cold, gotta play lumber Jack, every 3 hours.

Yes, the summers can be quite warm and it rains a good bit and we have flying cockroaches (palmetto bugs) the size of your fist ...

and mosquitoes and water moccasins and rattlesnakes and pythons and possums that get into the garbage and attack pets and I once almost stepped on an alligator on a golf course. Sneaky bastards look just like logs. But it was a small one - only 6 feet or so.

Don't forget, when it's that cold out, also, you have to watch your pipes to be sure they don't freeze and rupture! Happened to me last year....definately NOT a lot of fun trying to repair ruptured pipes in 10* weather! I think a finger froze up and ruptured on me too....I'm scared to count them just in case one did.... :o

Ya, I got the water pipe thing down pat, no cold air comin in from anywhere at all !!

my pipes ain't froze in 15 years I've been here since I bought this house anyway, as hot as I keep it,, usually Snow is melting off my roof faster than any of the neighbors .

1 year a few years ago after a 4in. snow, I was the only one in the neighborhood that didn't have any snow on their roof !!!

guess as soon as the snow would land on my roof, it melt I never paid any attention till a neighbor called me and wanted to know why I was the only one on my block that didn't have snow on their roof ???

I told them I constantly keep that Buck Stove constantly blowin hot air and pitchin wood and some trash in the thing, at that time I was maintaining a pretty constant 90* in my house on a 15*-20* night.

even my Garage was like 70* the heat was just radiating everywhere :):)

I've got plenty of insulation in the attic, I figured out with my Fireplace being Built in the "Middle" of my house, and NOT on some far wall,, with the Chimney going up thru the roof, which is tile lined - on the inside - the constant heat was also Radiating from the chimney,, heating the attic and working its way over to the garage.

Having a Fireplace built in the middle of the house with a Fireplace insert with a 2-Speed Blower makes all the difference in the world !!

Heats my the entire house 1800 sq. feet none of the other rooms are cold.

I have ceiling fans in every room, turn them on low to oscillate the heat, the house stays fairly constant thru out.

I used to live in Fort Lauderdale back in the late 1980's era, I know about those bugs and Croc's and Gators and rain & humidity , and tropical storms that blow thru

what I didn't know about was those "Sink Holes" ????? Yikes !!!!

alright gotta go, time for more wood on the Fire !

FREEWARE HEAT !!! :D :D

Get it here on Simviation !!!

FREEWARE Firewood coming soon !

82* in the house now

19* outside

and a nice warm Croc Pot full of Vegetable and beef stew in the kitchen !

Snow storm moving in Sunday they say !

Also if your in the United States and in this severe Cold Snap - make sure ALL your outside water faucets are Shut Off and garden hoses unhooked from the hydrant so they don't freeze up the hydrant and break the pipe !
