I mostly use Google because I've been using it for so long that it's almost integrated into my browser (Firefox). I have so many quick searches tools and shortcuts that point to Google that it would be more trouble than it's worth to change them.

I give Google as little information as I can and I have turned off my search history. I don't trust it.

I use Google calendar. It doesn't have much personal information. And I have a Gmail account that I use mainly for storing files. If I want to permanently store a big file I compress and encrypt it and sent it to my Gmail address.

I use Bing and Yahoo every now and then because I don't allow then to store cookies. I like duck duck go because it uses Google's search engine but it also doesn't know who I am.

My Firefox/Pale Moon browser gives me a drop-down list of search engines to use:
Google.
Yahoo.
Bing.
Twitter.
Wikipedia.
DuckDuckGo...(Where did that come from?.... :o ....)

I mostly use Google, the fastest, unless there is a problem with it (not found occasionally) at the time, then I use one of the alternatives for just one shot at the search.

Paul....mostly Googled.... ..!

I've used the Google search engine since it was first released. However, I don't like some of the latest developments & might change after all these years. If you want something more private this one was recommended to me. https://www.ixquick.com/eng/

I went into Google and deactivated all of my Notifications for Google+, and all of their tracking info, too. But, I do use Goog as my search engine along with YouTube, Wikipedia, Urban Dictionary and photos on A.net.

"Pale Moon" is excellent, Kurt.
I remember Webb gave us the tip some time ago, and it is my default browser now.
A quicker and simpler version of Firefox!

Well worth a try!

Google for general search.
Sometimes Yahoo when searching for pictures, it gives more results.
