FSX is no good

FSX is no good for watching the solar eclipse.

I went there & dune that. I shifted the time up and down from GMT. No luck.

Although FSX does seem to put the moon in the right place and phase generally, an eclipse is beyond it.

I'm pretty sure the sun and moon in FSX are simply textures in you view...not 3 dimensional orbital bodies capable casting light and shadow.

Actually, the position and phase of the moon look to be correct in FSX. In a casual way that is, I'm no astronomy maven.

But I do take notice of its location at night and like to "fly" when it's close to the horizon. To me it adds a sense of realism.

And besides, You can always hope. :D
