The next King of England

There is a scene in "From the Earth to the Moon" where Deke Slayton calls all of the lunar mission candidates into a conference and announces, "... the first man to walk on the moon walked into this room today - and is looking at me right now."

One of the people in this photo will be the next King of England.

You know, this used to be a helluva good country. I don't understand what's gone wrong with it. - George Hanson, 1969

Living on the other side of the "Pond" gives a rather distant, disconnected view of the royalty of the Empire. From everything I have read and seen of Prince William I think he will make an outstanding king. That is not to say I don't respect and admire his father but Will has the youth factor on his side which of course corrolates to longevity and continuity of reign just like his grandmother's.

Paul, Thanks for the link!

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

At any rate, something tells me she isn't going anywhere until those young whippersnappers are ready for the throne. 8)

The Queen has said on many occasions that she regards being queen as a life long duty. She will die in her bed as queen. Then I think regardless of what a small minority of people or the Daily Mail want, Prince Charles will become King.

An amazing Lady, (Queen Brenda, as we affectionately call her), will go on for as long as she lives!

Then, next in line to the throne will take over, most likely Prince Charles, as Matt has stated!

I applied for the job many times, but never got it... ...!

Paul....Occasionally found sitting on; "The Throne".... ...!
