Nope. Not at all. In fact, absolutely NO third party addons work in MS Flight. That's part of the controversy.

Welcome to SimViation, medic.

If you're asking that question, than you'll want a bit more info.

Simulator - (noun) A machine that simulates an environment for the purpose of training or research. (or fun, for most of us :D )

To make a long story short, Microsoft has made a number of flight simulator programs.

There last full flight simulator was Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX for short) in 2006. MS still sells FSX although it no longer develops it.

Lockheed Martin bought certain rights to the MS flight system in 2009 for the propose of creating simulation training systems.

Microsoft decided to get into the flight gaming business. That game, Microsoft Flight was a big disappointment.

None of our add-on hardware or software would work with it, although some have tried.

Their business model was for us to buy planes and scenery from them, MS. I never heard of any intention to make/sell hardware such as yokes and throttles.

If you wanted to use Microsoft Flight you had to use your mouse and keyboard.

Microsoft Flight was a big flop. It lasted about 6 months before being discontinued.

Just because development of FSX was, technically, discontinued don't think that it's dead. There are people and companies making a living by improving FSX in many ways. Both hardware and software.

It's quite amazing how well it's doing for such old programing.

And, unlike MS Flight, you can go as far as you would like to.

Not to be promoting Flight in anyway whatsoever, but that isn't correct.
Flight did work with my G940. At least for the 15min or so I played it until I uninstalled it.

G940. Wish I was so lucky. :D

I think that I used my old joystick too.

But like most bad experiences, I blocked MS Flight out of my mind.
