Prop Texture

Postby RAMPRAT » Thu Aug 22, 2013 7:49 pm

Need help with prop texture on PASCO (Pacific Costal Airlines ) EMB-110 props. Aircraft texture is fine but props show up as black rotating disks when engine is running. Downloaded a 2-3 and 4 blade prop texture fix but not sure how to install it. All it shows are bitmap images and aircraft texture is the same. Any help would be appreciated.

It's not easy to help without further information. I assume this is an FS9 aircraft in FSX. You could try replacing the existing prop texture with the modified 3-bladed prop texture from the fix. Rename it with the same file name as the original BMP. Without knowing which files you're talking about I can't guarantee it will work.

Yes, this is FS9 made to work in FSX. Instructions said to do just what you said so I did but don't think I got it right cause it didn't work. Prop texture pack is from a person named Tiedman. How do you rename prop texture then replace it in aircraft folder?

There are various methods for renaming a file. One method is to right-click on the file icon & select Rename from the drop-down menu. Then type the exact file name in the box. Make sure the .bmp file extension is included.

I think I have files in question & the fix works fine for me. You will need to paste copies of the new prop texture into all Texture folders of the EMB-110.
