over the hill?

Postby Bud Greene » Wed Jun 26, 2013 12:16 pm

Greetings all! I turn 40 today and am neither thrilled nor upset by it, however I dislike the term "over the hill". Methinks I will refer to this as "reaching cruising altitude". <<s

I've been at cruising alt for 8 years now, and have no intention of starting my decent for finals for a while yet. I might just wait for bingo fuel, rapidly drop to decision hight and go around again.

Nothing like hitting 40 to give you a whole new perspective of 60. :dance: Happy Birthday and I hope you have many more.

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

Over the hill at 40? I turned 70 this year & don't consider myself over the hill yet. They tell me that 70 is the new 40. 8)

If my 70th Birthday present was to repeat itself again (10 years ago), I would now be up in the wide blue yonder, on a beautiful sunny day, amongst a gaggle of fluffy clouds, piloting* a pretty little Cessna 152, with an enormous grin on my face, stretching from ear to ear!

The best Birthday present anyone could ever have....never to be forgotten...
...trust me!.... ;) ...!

Paul...Still with my love of Cessna 150/152's.... :D ...!

* With a CFI by my side... ;) ..!

Ah, to be 40 again. Sigh. Happy B-Day, Bud, and best wishes. Think nothing of it, the best is yet to come. Right, guys?

Thanks to each of ya"ll for the b-day well-wishes! The only difference between 30yo me and 40yo me...I am wiser, more cynical, and definitely more of a smartass.
Oh, and I am a better pilot (of course!). <<q

So... you're not taking SG-19's entry as a typo and fully intend to rise in an indecent progression rather than descend?
