My First Repaint

Postby CHUCK79 » Thu May 09, 2013 12:45 pm

Well......it's not really a repaint I just added a logo and new reg# :D

I've been flying a lot in FSEconomy and I finally saved up enough to purchase my own aircraft so I can stop paying for rentals 8-)

My original plan was to get a Cessna 185, but I found this heli (Augusta A109) very nearby (you have to fly, ship or hire a pilot to fly aircraft that you purchase to your home airport) for a steal of a price (I found out why later.....extensive aircraft cfg. editing had to be done to make it work properly with FSE). Two more seats available than the 185 and a comparable cruise speed. This heli also has a working auto-pilot and GPS (which you have to purchase in FSE, otherwise you can only fly VFR). She sucks a lot more fuel than the 185 though :o

Anyway, this one's mine now so I decided to try my hand at a bit of customization...here's some shots.

Nice Chuck! Someday (when I can find the time) I want to try some repainting myself.

usually i hate red, white and blue repaints because it looks like someone used the default colors in MSPaint.

However, that is an outstanding job and an exception to my usual belief. Well done

Thanks guys....as I mentioned above, I didn't do the whole repaint. I just added a logo and changed the reg#. and it was a very clumsy process for me. My hat goes off to the real repainters out there....it ain't easy :D

Not bad at all, it is fun 4sure, and nice to see another painter out there, we all have a different approach and ideas in mind when anyone of us paint an aircraft. It's nice to see where they start, and where they have wound up a year from now. Good job Chuck79 keep it going. Seeing your 1st almost makes me want to post my first paint I ever did :)
