Summer is approaching...

Postby Fozzer » Tue Apr 30, 2013 11:53 am

..the days are getting longer, and gradually warmer..

The garden is full of Spring flowers, and the birds are busy building their nests in preparation for a new brood...

..so for me, its time again, for me to prepare some delicious Salads for Tea... :D ...!

Image

Full of all sorts of good-for-you things!

With some nice, crusty, bread and butter.. ...!

Funny you should mention salads Paul, I was thinking I'd do a Waldorf salad with grilled mackrel one evening this week!

Grilled fresh mackerel with a squeeze of lemon. One of my favourite things!

Here on the North German Plane, we have not even made double figures since last week. At night, it is still dropping down to just above freezing. I think I will hold off on the salads at the moment, although we are forecast a high of 17°C today...............almost shorts and t-shirt weather for a Brit abroad..............

The nice thing for me, since having; "Gas Fired Central Heating" :o fitted a few weeks ago, is that although its 1* Centigrade out side in my back garden, it now feels like "Barbados" indoors, whilst wearing my Bermuda shorts and my flowery shirt, and preparing my Summer Salads, with Hawaiian music gently playing in the background...

..just need the sound of surf washing over the golden sands now... :D ...!

...(and a couple of Palm Trees growing in the back garden wouldn't go amiss)..... ;) ...!

Paul.... ...!

OAT gone from 0*C to 8*C in two hours, 8 AM to 10AM...outside!
