Well here is what is happening on our little part of the planet.
This weekend there is a Fishing Derby. They come from the United States and all parts of the Provinces of Canada.
Motor Homes, Camping Trailers and Fishing Boats of every style and size started setting up camp here on Thursday this week.
I think the derby starts at midnight tonight and by tomorrow morning one will be able to walk across the river on top of the boats as there well be so many of them.
The bay will be so full of fishing boats it will be impossible to land a float or seaplane on.
Have only seen two float planes at the docks this year and they only stayed overnight. Not sure where they came from or went.
We had rain yesterday and last night with expected rain most of the weekend.
There is flooding north of us but here the river is still low. I am sure they are opening the dams north of us to allow the water to flow into the Great Lakes.
Called the old homestead this morning and talked to one of our grandsons prior to his leaving for school. He told us the strip looks great, the tiles are working as there is no water laying on top of the strip anywhere.
Reminded him to stay off the strip because it will be soft and to have his father, our son call me when he gets home from his flight tomorrow.
Spoke with several Old Retired Rocking Chair Flying Geezers at the bugsmasher field and they said the strip was very soft and there will be no flying for a week or so until things dry out.
Well April Showers bring May Flowers they say. Dairy Farmers sure need water for their cattle so I can't complain about the number of days we get rain in April and early May.
I think everyone knows here not to land on those Grass Runways when doing your Simulated Flights as you will leave ruts, possible chance of a nose over in a bugsmasher and a lot of shoveling and raking to level things up again.
I am getting too old to do that kind of manual labour so will leave that up to the younger Simviation Members.

Find an Aircraft Carrier, Water Runway or a Hard Surface Runway folks for the next several weeks to do your Simulated Flight and your computer screens will not look so muddy.
Enjoy what is left of Spring.
