..I find folks outside Barbecues to be very scary places!
I tend to refuse eating any meat offered, suspecting that it may not be properly cooked all the way through and piping hot!
I would much prefer to cook meats correctly in my kitchen gas over, and offer them to the visitors on a hot plate, with a civilised knife and fork!*...

Under-cooked Chicken, Chops, Sausages, etc, are a recipe for food poisoning, or an upset tummy at the very least!
I never did fancy outside Stone Age Cooking over a bonfire!...
