Upload appears in search results but not there on the right page

Postby LeeC » Wed Feb 24, 2010 8:03 pm

Before I go any further... oops, I forgot about this part of the forum and emailed this problem to the webmaster... sorry.  :-[

As for the actual problem, I recently uploaded a repaint named "Bushy Tail". If you do a search, it appears in the results, but if you click on "Go to page", it isn't there, but ones uploaded after it are.

Here is the search result link:- http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/perlfect2/search/search.pl?p=1&lang=en&include=&exclude=&penalty=5&mode=all&q=bushy+tail

Hi,
In this case the required base file can only be accessed through another site which requires registration ....

We need to host base files here, with the occasional exception of a designer's own website. Even that is generally unreliable and causes problems as most of them disappear after a short few years.

If we did not insist on this Simviation would have a LOT of broken links by now.

Thanks

Hi Pete,
Then I am afraid you will have to remove the repaint.

Out of respect for the author's wishes (as stated on the FSNorthwest page), the files are not to be uploaded onto another site, therefore I am not going to do that.

Cheers
Lee
