Recent problem: File Not Found ; Permission denied

Postby dk_flyer » Sat Dec 04, 2004 11:54 am

I used to be able to download without a problem but recently all I'm getting on any file is the following (or similar with alterations to the section and filename details);

----------------
File Not FOund

550 1props: Permission denied

ftp://63.217.28.218/1props/RAOutaback.zip
-----------------

ftp://63.217.28.218/1vintage/Altair.zip

etc...
-------------------

I am using Opera 7.52  and it has always worked for months so I have to wonder if something changed on your system that cuases a problem.

I can download using Internet Explorer but I would rather not have to open IE for anything  if at all possible (due to the fact that I don't like using it)

1st one is not the link on the page:

ftp://63.217.28.218/1props/RAOutback.zip

& it works fine using IE

Yup there is a problem with Opera & our new FTP server ....

I also experienced problems with opera (having heard great things about it) on other sites ... & have simply stopped using it - I think some of its so called advanced features can be counter-productive. I found at least 2 sites where it completely failed to display certain text.

Obviously it is intended to fix this but for now I am stumped.

Sorry.

ps. This is mentioned in our 'Site' page but I should make it more visible.
