C47 'Puff'  flyin

Postby Gixer » Thu Aug 26, 2004 10:24 am

Re-downloaded a texture I remebered about the other day.  Its the 'puff' re-paint for the DC-3.  Took a bunch of shots as I like it so much, though after taking the shots it was only looking at them that I realised the writing reads wrong on one side of the plane! Oh well not to worry I still really like it  ;D

As in Puff the Magic Dragon, the planes with gatling guns that shot out the side in Vietnam?

I heard those planes would climb sideways as they banked to rain down the ordinance.  I never knew they were DC=3s

They weren't DC-3's.  The texture is applied to the DC-3 aircraft in FS9 but it appears in the list as a C47  ;D

Ah...

Can you apply the fire and the sideways climb?

Thanks Lemoncat, and Jordan no it doesn't come with any guns, I havn't tried the sideways climb but if the default DC3 wont do it then this wont either.

Well, you need the guns to do it (the recoil from the guns was what pushed the plane up and the fired down while banking)...

I was told that they practilally flew themselves when they did that!
