Where can I find...

Postby Gringo6 » Sat Jan 12, 2013 8:07 pm

I have a old joystick that I'd like to connect to my computer to give me some more axis controls, but the problem is that it has a "game port"  connection whereas my computer only has USB connections.

Where can I get a transition connector to adapt the game port plug on the joy stick to the USDB input on my computer ?

I've tried Best Buy, Radio Shack and Staples without luck, and they're all I have in town so it'll  have to be online.

Google : Connectors. Gameport to USB

Lots came up, from lots of places... ;)...

Paul....Good-old Google!... ;D...!

P.S...mind you; I don't know how it would work, using two separate joysticks connected to two separate USB Sockets?
I'm assuming that you want to use two separate joysticks to add more controls than can be provided by only one joystick?

I sprung for a Logitech cordless, $56 on ebay, best money I've ever spent.  Dave

Using two joysticks on two separate USB ports is not the problem. I use my Saitek Yoke on one front port and my Saitek trim wheel on the other front port. Both are recognized by FSX as being a joystick and can be used at the same time.

I'm not sure but I think the problem will be that a 'game port' joystick connected to a USB converter will work a bit slower than a regular USB joystick.
