yokes and rudders

If my wife's car is ok and stays okay, she offered to get me the CH Eclipse Yoke for Christmas. My question is, what yokes do you guys prefer? I need rudder functionality but I have not found a way to have pedals that wont bring the yoke+rudder cost over $200. The Eclipse Yoke has nifty little pedals on the yoke that you use your thumbs to work for the rudder. Its different, but a yoke beats the crap out of a stick in my book!

Any other ideas for good yokes? Or if you have used the Eclipse would you recommend it?

I know it doesn't help, but in 15+ years of M$ flight simming, I have never felt the overwhelming urge to spend VAST sums of money on matching Flight Yokes and Pedals.
I must admit that all my various, low-cost, twist Joysticks, have adequately fulfilled the purpose for which they were designed...
...and saved me loadsa-money to boot...which is always nice!... [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]...!

(I have always found the natural "directional control" of a "Joystick" to be similar to the "Joystick" in a Military aircraft).

I never liked yokes. They were only fitted to larger multi-engined aircraft in my day.

I found it much easier to control most GA and commercial aircraft with a yoke. Basically if I see a yoke or anything that is reminiscent of a yoke in the VC I prefer a yoke. I find the default Cessna, Mooney, Lear, and King Air (among all the rest) to be far to touchy. In our UAV lab here at Western we have a yoke and pedal setup, its so much better flying anything that is not high performance or a helicopter.

to me at last the rudders pedals are essential , I used to use my own homemade small cockpit with thrusters pedals and yoke , I took it of a long time ago because I need more space in my PC , I bought a Joystick with two sliders Throttle and rudder BUT I can't get used to keep both hands in the same place in approach ..I need my pedals
I will adapt the pedals and the throttle to the joystick and put the Joystick in the left side of the keyboard like Airbus airplanes

I assume you already have a joystick..?
My suggestion would be to hold off on the yoke and get some pedals (saitek or CH they are both good) then save up for the yoke.... 8-)....IMHO having a yoke without pedals is really......pointless.
