Done a search and couldn't find an answer'

I dusted off an old X45 stick and it ran OK without the saitek drivers but I had no control over the sensitivities so I installed the saitek drivers (from their site). Now the throttle only gives about half power in FSX....it seems OK in stick properties and callibrates OK but no joy flying.

Running XP 32bit. FSX SP1 and 2

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated

This is the stick that I use regularly.
I never installed the drivers, and use the windows calibration tool for generic flight sticks, and seems to work ok.
If the driver software didn't help, and windows default doesn't help, either, then maybe the sensitivities can be calibrated in your sim...

  I guess I'll have to go back to the windows default drivers, at least they worked even though adjusting the sensitivities in game didn't work. A real pain for the tail draggers on the ground, the rudder seems way to lively..... elevator at lower speeds seems a bit twitchy too.

As an aside (while you're here) the centering spring has always been to strong on my x45, I've got 3 nylon cable ties that pinch 2 of the coils together. This helps although not ideal........any other tips for this issue?

I use the X-45 in both FS9 and FSX, default drivers. I've not had any problems using the in game control settings to calibrate, assign or adjust sensitivity. Are the sensitivity sliders not available, or do changes just have no effect?

The X-45 spring: the remedy that I used (1 of several found on the web, including your
tie method), was to shorten the spring.

Nice idea for the spring and lubricant, I'll give it a go.

Really like youre makeshift rudder bar, great inovation. I have a spare stick and a workshop, I may even have some spare time come the christmas break...Perhaps I'll remove one of the pots and mount it in a custom box......you really got me thinking now 8-)

My 1st thought is....do you have the right device selected and are the sliders for 'normal' mode, not 'slew' mode?

More issues with the saitek drivers, the input from the stick now has about 1 second lag      So I've removed them. I'm now back on windows default drivers and I seem to have gained some sensitivity adjustment, not much but maybe enough.

The x45 has been in a cupboard for 5 yrs, I don't remember having problems with it before......oh well, working reasonably well now.

Oh my. I would have thought that was an original idea, for sure. Same problem, and same solution. I put black ties on mine. 3 of em. wierd...

Funny how that worked, just wanted to point that out...

I don't know about the candle wax idea, and hadn't thought of that. Sounds good. I was using a liquid graphite paste on mine, and it seems to work, but that may even be better (and surely cheaper).
