What CPU would be needed to do this?

Hi

I'm wondering, what CPU would it take to run FSX - all sliders maxed (including traffic) - at LAX (default scenery) and have at least 20 FPS?

How about the scenario mentioned above, but in stereoscopic 3D? (NVIDIA 3D vision). Would that put a much larger load on the CPU?

Your best bet is an overclocked Core i7 2600K.

I presume 3d would need a faster processor.

I can get that with my i2500K running at 4.2Ghz, assuming full default traffic.

Thanks, that's just what I wanted to know.

So does anyone know how much the FPS would drop by if 3D vision was enabled?

Hi

I just ran a test run over LAX with a 20.4 frame rate. See following image. My PC is a maxed out i7 920 overclocked to 4 GHz.
