FSX Frame issues

My system specs are in my sig.
I have REX and FTX aswell as some other payware installed.
Just before i was in Sydney with the 737NGX and was at 2-4FPS on Ultra high.
Does that look right with my system? Or is there an issue i should fix?

What hardware upgrade should i do?

Thanks for the help, also Mods move this if it's in the wrong area!

Ultra settings? Does that mean all sliders to the right?

Sydney? Default or add-on scenery?

737NGX? PMDG or IFly?

FSX is not about all sliders maxed but finding a balance between performance and looks.

Almost everyone will get those kinda FPS if I had all sliders to the right in such a large airport/city.

Your PC specs are fine.

Lower settings. Make sure bloom is disabled and put water on 2.0x low. Do you have any airport modifications installed? FTX airports are extremely heavy on the frames.

PMDG 737NGX sorry i thought i wrote that.
It is default Sydney with FTX installed.
Yeah i was just wondering whether i would need to maybe get some extra RAM or whatnot

And yes by ultra settings i meant sliders to the right (with a config entry to make 4096 res textures available)

Cheers guys! :)

Ahhh that is your problem.

PMDG NGX and all sliders maxed.

No wonder you get those FPS  ;D

Bring those sliders back quite a bit, your rig (I don't think any rig) can handle that  :)

:o That does not equal high frame rates :(. I don't think even NASA computers can run that at 40 fps ;D ;)

FTX can choke you out no matter what plane your flying in densely populated environments (the sceneries are a bit more detailed than default).
