Survailance question

Postby Steve M » Tue Jun 07, 2011 8:16 pm

I was wondering if anyone has any know how. I had some things stolen from my back yard and I want to set up some wireless cams. Yes, I know I can Google it but I'm hoping someone here has some advice.

Wireless is gonna hit ya in the wallet depending on how serious you are for busting a perp.  A lot of folks don't realize beforehand is that, unless you're watching it live or can readily identify a badguy, what you end up with is a video clip showing your stuff being stolen.

Sooooooooo, it's a cost/benefit equation.  How much you wanna spend? How's it gonna help?

This is a neat little set-up!

You may want some sort of recording capability, just add monitor/TV.

Thanks for the tips U4EA. I think the perp is a friend of the neigbours kid, All I would have needed was a video to send to the parents and I might get my stuff back. Problem is I don't know which kid did it. I'm going to check out that second link you provided as it might do the trick.

I pretty much figured video survailance wouldn't have much legal punch considering burglers have more rights than victims.  >:(

If ya take your time and think it through then you may end up with a badguy and your stuff back without too much time/trouble/expense.

You mention another cost/benefit consideration though.
