finally after much sorting out.
memory up to 4gb, then discovered the GEST feature on CPU was automatically entering powersaving mode, cutting down 2/3 processing power..... now set to manual. and.............. FPS bouncing around 48-96!!!!!!
Woo hoo. Now to add some woai and some real aircraft.
