I'm confused!

Hi guys,

I bought an Asus K-52F laptop in November and was too afraid that FSX would crash it - so I didn't install it. I finally did, and I am somehow getting 20-50 FPS on it, although I don't think it has a video card in it. This confuses me, my desktop had one but it only ran FSX at 2-5 FPS in a good, blank area.

Here's my specs:

Model: Asus Notebook K52F/K62F Series
Rating: 4.6
Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i3 CPU M370 @ 2.40 GHz
Installed Memory (RAM): 4.00 GB (3.79 usable)
System Type: 64-bit operating system.

Any ideas on why it runs so well?  :-?

What is your gpu on your laptop? And your specs on your desktop?
Settings in game?
To find this out
Start>Run(if win 7 or vista search) DXDiag>Display. It will say what kind of video processing unit you have. For example my laptop gas a 6250 HD.

;D

Okay, my desktop doesn't really matter to me anymore because it got hit by a virus in like '06, so that might be the problem. What I really want to know is why I can run so well with no special hardware. I made a thread last year asking guys here if I could run FSX with my laptop, they said they'd be surprised if it even started up.

My settings in FSX are as follows:

Graphics: Custom (I set them higher in the detailed settings area)

Aircraft: Ultra High

Scenery: Custom (It's pretty close to being maxed out)

Weather: Medium Low

Traffic: Ultra High

I won't get into detailed settings; we'd be here all day. Thanks for replying!  :D
