I just installed the BFG/Nvidea 9800GT 1 gig/1024. I think they are available on the net for 90 US $ plus costs. (I payed 120$ in a store.)  I was pleased with the improvement over my 8600GT. I couldn't comment on the other cards, no experience with them.

GTS 250 or 9800GT. In that order. The 9800GT is exactly the same as the 8800GT so I would advise getting the GTS 250 so you can have a small upgrade. :)

Do NOT get the 9400GT or GT220. Both are slower than the 9800GT and 8800GT.

I just upgraded from a 8600GTS to the GALAXY GTS 250 and I couldn't be happier with it. I over paid a bit, ($175 US) but you can find them on Newegg for a lot less.

Hope this helps,
