hey guys

looking into buying a yoke used primarily for 744 and 737,

and pedals as well, I am currently looking at saitek pro pedals. but I am open for suggestions

any recommendations and links please

I use the Saitek yoke. The hat and buttons on the yoke itself are programmable and due to the function switch the six button/hat config is turned into a possible 18 functions. They push button and rocker type switches like The CH joke, but the rocker switches feel is much more professional. They give a good feel to pitch/roll trim. A small flick is all it takes to move them and they return to the center setting by themselves.

I have both CH yoke/pedals and Saitek yoke/pedals. The Saitek yoke looks good with the clock/timer and USB slots, the seperate throttle unit is good, the rudder pedals feel too wide.
The CH yoke and pedals are very good and have given me five or six years of troubble free use, it's a shame the Saitek yoke/pedals hasn't lasted. I would say six months but they had only been used three times before problems started. Check out the Saitek web site forums and look at the "fun" others are having, if I had known this I would've just bought the CH throttle quadrant and saved alot of money, time and hassle/ stress I hope this helps

I have the Saitek yoke, but I had to make a modification to make it okay to use.

I have to say, I could not be happier with my Saitek yoke and throttles. Had them over two years and no problems at all.

I must say I would have great difficulties in getting rid of my trusty Saitek Evo Force Joystick in favour? of a Yoke (and Rudder Pedals)... ...!

I have rather got used to the "Aim and Fly" method, (like Fighter Aircraft), of the humble Joystick... ...!
...and the "Twist" for the Rudder action comes naturally, together with "Aiming"... ...!

...and its less bulky on the Desktop... ...!

...and it costs a lot less money!... ... ...!

It works fine for all my usual General Aviation Piston Props!... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!

I've had a CH yoke. It broke down so many times I threw it away. Bought a Saitek X-52 stick. Love it. Bought a Saitek yoke last December. Excellent quality. Needs some time to set it up but once that is done, it's a great thing. Never had the problem with sticky movements, like Snippyfsxer had, though.

What is your budget?  Ther are some really GOOD yokes out there in the simpit market.  But not in the same league with CH / Saitek.

well I know I said no budget.. but thats a bit over the top. they look amazing and that was what I was looking for, but right now I dont have the time ( read $$ ) for going for the simpit nor the space to do it. but pages are saved. as for my new joystick, as soon as I have my computer up and running at my new place. I will order the Logitech G940 kit.

so if anyone have any experience with that plz feel free to share
