what's the point of getting 300+ FPS?
I think the human eye registers at a little over 30fps.

Well with all the settings down I get like 60fps

Yeah, I read the other thread, and almost became embroiled in that flame war myself, before thinking better of it.

I think one thing you should keep in mind, is that most of the people on here just want some good flight simming entertainment and don't want a mega-battle between Intel vs AMD.

Hooboy do I ever know what you're talking about! I wasn't trying to be a "mine is better than yours" type of guy.
I got told that, basically, no matter what I do, my stuff is garbage, that I'm a rumor-spreader, don't know what I'm talking about, etc.
All I was hoping to do in the beginning was try to help a guy, and break the "you need this, or you suck" cycle of garbage. It ended up being a pissing contest between a braggart and a jerk (not sure which one I am).

I was just trying to start a little FRIENDLY competition, like "This is the best I got" or, "I can get this, after trying this" or "Wow. How can I get that" type of thing. Well, it blew up, and I find me having to defend myself, and my experiences and knowledge, for all it seems to matter. Apparently, I don't know anything, and I suck, and I'm a lousy boyfriend, drive too slow, my driver's license picture is ugly, all kinds of stuff. Apparently also, there is no "FRIENDLY" competition for some folks. I had no idea, and am sorry for the tragic results.

I'll be back in an hour or two..  I'm gonna go find an ice patch.. see how long I can hold my car's speedometer at 100mph without the car moving..
