You need to reinstall everything. There are somethings that gets logged into your registry. There are a bunch of hidden files and folders that need to be placed exactly so going through the trouble of installing it your way you mind as well reinstall everything from scratch.

EDIT: That doesn't mean that you can't get stuff out of that folder and place it in the new one. ;)

Files and Programs are the key words here. FS9 is the program, all the addons are files. As A1 said, you'll need to re-install the program but the files can be saved no probs.

It may take a bit of time getting your sim back to how you had it.. good luck!
CD.

This is as good as I've found to uninstall FS9.

Most things will work.

HOWEVER, nothing that depends on the windows registry will work. i.e. PMDG planes will not work. And you won't be able to use an installer to uninstall mods that you previously installed before you formatted.

IMO, reinstall.

...any add-ons that you previously "installed" (to the Windows Registry), will require "installing" again, so make sure you have copies of the installation .exe(s) to allow you to do so again, particularly with any Payware programs...;)...!

Paul....I save all my Programs installation .exe's on a separate CD for safety.
