Playstation 3

Got a question. I'm considering buying a PS3. I still have a big number of PS2 games which I haven't finished playing. Now I've read in a review of the 80Gb PS3 (the cheapest version at 259 Euro) that it's NOT backwards compatible and you can't play PS2 games on it. Is this true? (don't believe the review that much).

From what I know also, because I have read in Gameinformer and Popular Science, this is correct.

Ok, thanks. I think I just replace my broken PS2 with a new one then...

only the original 60gb ps3's have backwards compatibility with ps2 games, look for one on ebay.

Key word: Original.

I don't think any of the new ones do.

It would be cheaper to go to Gamestop and just get a PS2 slim or something.

That's why I said look on ebay. PS3's are definitively worth the money.
