Is 182.50 still the driver of choice?

I'm still using 182.5 for my GTX 285 even though nVidia is now at 191.07. Is 182.50 still considered the best? Has anyone run tests with the new driver?

Don't do it Steve. I was using the newest drivers before I switched back to 182.5 and it was a nightmare of stutters.

I have been all the way up to 195.15? beta and the stutters haven't improved.  I've now reinstalled 182.5 and though not perfect it is miles better.

Reading the release notes with each version it is clear that nVidia has no interest in FSX.  I can't recall it being mentioned in any notes, and because it is not SLI, is minimally threaded, CPU based nor related to the newest first-person shooter or driver game in the shops, FSX is basically ignored.

It's a bit of bad business choice on their part, as we are the ones who buy the new cards before the kids.  It just might make sense for NVidia to look at the durability of this game on PCs, otherwise PSP, XBox and all of those TV based controllers will take over the field.

It has taken AMD a long time to catch up, but it seems to be doing so, and nVid could lose a large market segment.

Been having trouble with graphics so ran a benchmark with 191.07 then 182.5 installed.

For graphics drivers I go to add/remove programs and remove the display driver. Then I boot into safe mode and run "Driver Sweeper". Reboot into safe mode again and install the new driver. Reboot into regular Windows and set it up. I make sure nHancer is correct because it will not load during the "in between" stages. Reboot a final time and fly!

Can't keep me "tweaking-fingers" away from FSX, so I downloaed today the 195.62 Nvidia drives for Win 7.

Must say: The best I seen so far!

Here they are, try'em:
