New (Gamer's) Laptop for University
Posted: Wed Jul 29, 2009 7:39 pmLooking at a laptop to order in the next month. Would like you all's opinion and suggestions. Here is what I expect from it:
- Dedicated Video card (preferably over 512MB.)
- Fast memory (preferably over DDR2 800MHz and 4GB)
- CPU speed and HDD space are flexible (Just 2.0Ghz+ and 250GB+ are suitable for me)
-All on no more than $750 (started at $500 but decided to stretch it a bit).
Dont know much labout laptops but everything else is really all secondary.
I will be majoring in Mechanical Engineering, so the primary purpose will be to easily run any demanding programs I may have to... as well as play FS9 marvelously (and maybe even FSX decently).
