Uh...Tri-core?

Postby Airshow_lover » Fri Jul 03, 2009 5:41 pm

Ok, so, for my brothers birthday, he got an Acer Aspire, a tri-core.

First of all, I had never heard of a Tri-core, and always thought they came in multiples of 2. (Dual-core, Quad-core, etc.)

Anyways, I have been dying to get FSX on it to see how it would run...but my brother wouldn't let me install it.

Long story short, he gave in and now it is on there.

And I have a problem.

Now, I know this problem has been discussed before, but cant seem to find it after a quick search.

FSX only seems to be using oneof the three cores when running.

Why won't/can't it use all three to maximize potential output?

Any way I can change this to make FSX use all of this computer's capabilites?

Thanks,

ASL

Yep there are tri-cores. Not all that popular though. I think only AMD makes them.

Did you patch up FSX? If you did FSX should be using what your computer has. ;)

OK, problem fixed. :P

I initially looked at the readings before I installed Acceleration which had all the up-to-date patches and what not.

Everything is fixed now.

Everything except the weird feeling I get when saying "Tri-core"...... lol  :P
