Hi Nick, i hope you read this. I just wanted to say thanks for your advice on putting together a new computer system,i took your advice, and ended up with a system like this 965 extreme,3gigs corsair dominator at 1600mhz,nvidea 285 gtx,and overclocked to 3.73

Fsx is a new world now. After a few days of playing with this machine i finally figured out how to make it run ( its a little different from my Q6600 setup i found out) it actually thrives for more.  through your many posts i used your advice on setting the locked framerate to the refresh rate of the monitor and thats what did it, im using the matrox triplehead 2 go and it sets the refresh rate at 57hz so i set the locked frames in fsx at 57 also, thats when i was blown away this machine can hold 57 fps for the majority of flying and when it holds at 57 there is zero stutters or micro stutters its truly amazing, i also added UTX with no fps hit, one question i do have is im thinking of buying the GEX enhanced version to compliment the utx will i see any performance decrease,and is the GEX worth adding. anyway thanks again for the great advice, take care for now.

I have GEX and it was worth every penny in my opinion!

Thanks Steve,i know nick had a hand in it so its gotta be good, also i went to flight 1 site i would like to get the dvd version of GEX does that already have the enhanced version on it? i noticed there is a separate download page for the enhanced version, maybe only if you had the earlier gex im assuming. any help appreciated thanks again

Mine is USA/Can Nhanced. I really never saw a decrease in performance on my less than average machine.
