CPU upgrade

I just changed-over my CPU from a P4 670@3.8ghz to an Intel Q9550 and now Windows will not start. The MB is an Abit IP35-e with the last BIOS (v.18). The last CPU compatibility list from Abit shows the Q9550 as being OK with this board.
I've reset the CMOS and set-up the BIOS accordingly with all settings at default or auto.
It boots up and even shows "verifying data pool, updated successful" and then shows the Windows logo for about 5 to 10 seconds then I get a light blue screen before it re-boots.

Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.

It could be that it's overheating... but I'm not sure. Try taking it out and putting it back in. Apply the thermal paste correctly

Sounds like maybe Windows wants a new O/S install for the new CPU.. ?

Everythings good to go guys. Even got it running at 3.2 due to 400FSB.
Not exactly sure what I did,but it works. :-/
Maybe it was manually setting my memory because when I re-set the CMOS I forgot to re-set it. OOPS! :-[

Thanks for the replies though  ;)

Well FSX seemed pretty smooth, but believe it or not, that P4@3.8ghz did pretty good too. I need to O'C this baby to 3.8. ;)
I know Nick has talked about assigning cores(I think)for FSX and I'm trying to locate that info.  Any idea what I'm talking about?

Skys the limit now. :D
