New to flight sim

First, I have no idea what i am doing so I would like to apologize before hand for my ignorance on the subject. I am a CFI and just trying to get a sim together for student pilots.  I have Flight Sim 98, Flight Sim 2004, as well as FSX but I do not have FSX installed because I do not have a strong enough system to run it.

I have a ch products sim yoke and saitek pro flight pedals.  I have looked through a few pages of topics here and I havent been able to find the information I am looking for as of yet.  I am trying to program both the pedals and the yoke and have no clue where to start.  At the moment I am only running flight sim 98 but will have 2004 installed within a few days so I wanted to get a jump on things.  I have used 98 with the yoke alone and I figured it out pretty easily but when I added the pedals it seems I am back to square one, the program recognizes either the pedals or the yoke but not both.  When I was a student pilot it was a lot easier because all I had to do was sit in the seat and fly the plane so I have never had to deal with the whole set-up process before!  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think you will have much better support for the 2 in FS2004

FS98 is probably the issue

Give a shoutout once you have installed FS2004, as it is far superior to the older sims, & will work on most PC's.

Once you have done that, we will be able to help. You can also PM me.

Robin

What do you think? Technologies are developing, becoming more powerful, more sophisticated, performing a much larger volume of tasks.
