Thanks for all the help here!

I followed your instructions on setting up FSX and my system. It works perfectly! I have a question about defragging AFTER the initial set-up.

I have O&O defrag. How often do you recommend running this on its own over time? What settings do I use?

Which version of O&O are you using

if its v8.5 or v8.6 you can run the SPACE defrag when you install small addons and once every so many weeks till the regular maintenance point comes up to run the full NAME defrags

On version 10 and v11 of O&O NEVER run a SPACE defrag after the first one you ran in the list I posted.. ALL DEFRAGS must be COMPLETE\NAME

My list is very clear about what to do to keep things clean.. go back and read the maintenence area at the end of the 2nd post


NEVER set that software up to do automatic defrags... you do them manually as needed
