Hi,
It looks like an Amazing setup!! Really.
I dont think it'll come close to nellie, but it'll need a new Motherboard if you upgrade to Nellie.
It does seem very expensive though, especially when you could get fairly similar performance for a lot cheaper.
If you can afford it, you'll have a great setup, but will have to fork out again and probably have to reinstall everything with a new CPU & Motherboard.
Somebody more technical than me will give you better advice probably.
Rik

My thoughts:
1) SLI does absolutely nothing for FSX, one card's all you need.

You can put together a system that will run FSX EXACLTY the same as the quoted system for $2500 or even less. I did!
In fact, I bet it will run it better than that!

LMAO at the ridiculous price.
Not trying to put you down but take the advice from others here: order the parts off Newegg or some other equally good site, build yourself with the advice of the many here who are willing to help and save between 1/2 to 2/3 of the price you are looking at up there.

If this s for FSX...
2 words
IN SANE
For that price I would wait for nellie and do the works then
you are looking at a 40% increase in CPU/memory ability over anything you will buy today

Thats an insane thought
yep, 4 cores 8 threads
but the BIOS and CPUz also must work together to use the threads so from an insane perspective CPUz would not see the other 4 threads till it gets the chipset register information updated in its code.
you know whats really insane?
Clocking 4GHz on a locked 166Mhz FSB and the calculation brute force is equivalent to a 5GHz proc running today on LN2
Where is FSX needing the most help?
Only an insane person would know

No in the case of nellie its actually its the same 800HP engine finally being taken OFF the Yugo transmission and placed in a proper Formula1 system and feed the right octane fuel.
Sandybridge will take that even further
FSB does not make a system faster.. never did. What FSB increases did was shift gears on the northbridge, or in the case of AMD it simply increased the communication rate between the memory and CPU. Intel is switching to a system that 'looks' like AMD's but it is FAR from it. FSB is not required for performance, never was.. In the past it was how FSB is used to make changes in the communication paths and that is no longer required. Intel corrected the mistakes AMD made in their system of switching to a internal CPU Northbridge system and it will eat AMD for beakfast unless they pull a rabbit out of their hats in the next 6 months

Dont take FSX as some greatly programmed software, although it does bring some innovations to the market.. it wasn
