My PSU is EZcool 550w, do the figures below as given by Everest denote anything about the adequacy of the PSU.
SpeedFan shows that +12 as 11.19v & asus,s Probe 2 gives 11.93v.
Somebody remarked that I should go for better makes in case it burns out mobo, cpu the lot.
Is it safe to run my new system?
voltage values
cpu core 2.40v

What is the spec of your PC? CPU, Graphics card, memory etc?
I would go for 700 and above, but 550 should be ok.

It looks like your psu's 12V rail is a little over worked. Remember, a power supply's abilities are not constrained to the peak wattage of the device, but rather it's amperage per rail and the over all efficiency of the unit. Indeed, as rikm12345 pointed out, if you can give us an idea of your system's specs, we may be able to provide a bit more insite.

Hi,
You have a similar setup to myself apart from the memory, which could do with being upgraded to 4gb 1066mhz ram.
I upgraded my PSU recently, and if you want to be on the safe side i would go for
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... 20Power%20 Supply which im happy with.

No probs Luke,
I would also recommend this CPU cooler over anything,
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... AM2/LGA775)
It's one of the best coolers out there. I purchased one not too long ago as my temps were a bit on the high side, noticed my temperatures drop right down, and was also able to overclock further than before.
It's a bit expensive but well worth it. You may find it cheaper on another website.
