Dual/Triple Monitors?

Postby Mike.. » Wed Sep 03, 2008 4:58 pm

As I have the 2 8800 GTS SSC cards, I was wondering. With one card, I have ran 2 monitors before. Now with 2 cards I noticed in the display settings it looks like I can run 4. As I only have one additional monitor at the moment, would I put the other monitor on the other card or both on the same card?

As there is no word and or price on that Alienware curved screen prototype I thought was said (from the articles I found)  to be out by this years end, I was thinking I would like to see how my rig will look running another 2 20" monitors with my 22" in the middle. That would be neat right? Anyone else here anything about that monitor?

Will COD 4 play on Dual/Triple monitor system? Is there any software I need to accomplish this?

Very cool. Question. It only plugs into one of my 2 cards to run 3 correct? I tried to read how it works but it says the pdf has known issues trying to D/L and it locked up my internet.

Also. Let me take a wild stab here. I am getting around 15-25 and up (spikes only not steady) FPS in fsx usually 13-21. Running 3 monitors on 2 cards and or the "hub" with my 2 cards I am going to take a performance hit aren't I? Although I see (you tube) it runs other games (COD 4, Crysis) nicely............
