Just curious. I am running Vista 64 bit. When I go to display settings, the section where you set resolution, there to the right is the color section which gives you a choice of 16 and 32 bit color.

Why is there no 64 bit color setting?

Because 64-bit refers to the CPU architecture (64-bit processing). To get 64-bit color your graphics card would have to be able to do 64-bit.
BTW, 32-bit color isn't even true 32-bit. It is 24-bit with 8-bit alpha channels.

Ah. Then how would I determine if my 2 8800 GTS's are capable of running 64 bit?

to date i don't think that anyone has come up with a 64 bit color scale. It used to be in the older operating systems (95,98) that the highest you could go was 24 bit true color. now 32 bit is around for now maybe in the next version of windows with DX11 there will be 64 bit color. but for now 32 bit is here to stay

you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 32bit and 64bit color, the human eye can see only so many colors.

+1, 64bit would be made redundant because it would have colours that we couldn't see.

How do you know if your cards are '64 bit compatible'? Go to the drivers page for them and if it says 'Windows Visa 64 bit' then you know they (should be) are.
