It may be getting on, it may not have all the bells and whistes, but my trusty Microsoft Sidewinder has never let me down. Never fell apart like my string of logitec wheels, that got worse and worse the more hammer i gave them in GP4. Never got all 'jerky' and difficult to calibrate. Just plug it in and its set to go, and i love it.

Feels right in my hand, and has a good base. A mate has a saitek thing and its like flying holding a long bendy matchstick, i hate it!!

Fs2004 BTW, no particular favorite aircraft, though ive a soft spot for the Level D and the CLS 747 :D

lol i asked cuz my logitech wingman force 3d joystick which i had for 2 years is messed up cuz it cant center properly even with forced center on and when i taxi or land or takeoff i have to constantly correct my taxi making me move left and right. so i need a new one and i thought i might get a really good joystick for around 90 bucks cuz i might get a new comp to run fsx in the future.

Saitek Av8r sucks. Can't stand it and its horrible configuration. Like the throttle on it though... Using my dads logitech extreme 3D Pro and works well. :) Favorite plane... hmmm...idk. There's so many incredible planes and just as many incredible payware planes it's impossible to decide!  :-/

i've been using my trusty MS Sidewinder FFB 1.0 for some 8-10 years now, and it is the only joystick i've had (i've had maaany others in between) that hasn't broken down on me... the only mishap i had with it was when my dog chewed the cables causing it to stop working... nothing a little soldering wouldn't fix ;)

but now it seems my trusty old gaming pal is reaching the end of his working life  :'(

new computers don't have gameports anymore, and it won't work with a gameport-to-USB adaptor...

so i have bought a brand new X52 Pro plus Saitek Pedals to replace it... BUT i bought it almost a month ago and it still hasn't arrived... i won't ramble about his here... this post tells all about my Saitek woes

Cheers
