Just picked up a used Ultra from a friend!

Postby raptorx » Wed Aug 20, 2008 1:02 am

My friend got a 4870 X2 and I got his used eVGA 8800 Ultra KO edition for a buck & a half.  Damn nice card, especially when I overclocked it.  Sure beats the G92 8800GTS I was using.  The sim runs better than it ever has! :)

:o

I want an ultra. :(

That card has the most kick I have seen. I would have bought one but the price for a retail one was way too much. Have fun with it. ;)

My mum still has a need for a good card (vista), I'd be glad to buy that 8800 GTS for a buck and a half + shippin'.

Nice score though.

I would love anything better than my 8600GTS

A person on another forum was really annoyed that his mother went to the shops for him and bought a 8800GT instead of the 8600GTS. He said he really wanted to get a refund on it and get the 8600. Man, if it wasn't that I don't really trust second hand hardware (or people who aren't really set-up as sellers) I would have so happily given away my 8600GTS for his 8800GT.  ;D
